Why Wind Ratings Matter

When high wind events hit—whether from hurricanes, tornados, or sudden storms—traditional roll-up doors often begin to fail around 130 mph. RDI’s Wind Rated Doors, by contrast, have been tested to withstand average wind speeds of up to 251 mph, giving you unmatched peace of mind.

How It Works

The key is in the reinforced design. RDI attaches specialized wind load clips to the door curtain, strengthening the door’s resistance against pressure without compromising functionality. These clips distribute the force evenly across the structure, reducing stress points and increasing the door’s overall durability under duress.

See It In Action

Watch how RDI’s Wind Rated Doors outperform conventional models under simulated extreme wind conditions.
